1.
Glaciers 05:28
Waiting for you to walk away wading through the flood of frozen days (you thought you were hopeless you could not kill wandering slowly wondering still you thought you were timeless I thought you were wrong wandering slowly hopeless you’re gone) were you always fucking up a sad romantic drunk did you lie to every woman that you ever claimed to love I need to know I'll never know If you ever wanted more.
2.
This is yours to take (you wanted more) my head on this plate (to gaze upon) the snow is falling late (the roads are long) your secret's never safe (but always worn) & I am the black waves that crash ashore the ships return to port but never more so take it now.
3.
I don't feel that far from gone twelve stone breaking back from bone I won't breathe a word I'll lie & push & tuck & hide until it's dead & gone this storm pulled flowers from stone I know I'll die alone I won't ever know home agoraphobic safety net I now lean on I'm doing my best to throw the fight the last one to leave will switch off the lights I don't feel that far from gone twelve stone breaking back from bone.
4.
I will not leave the house today your string of lights has finally stopped blinking & I have nothing to sell you nothing of value nothing to prove to myself nothing you couldn't fake yourself this is war they built a wall around our house to keep the demons inside to keep the stranglers out.
5.
Kendrick 03:58
Standing watching you rise & open our hearts & our eyes are wide & open watching your every move & motion taking holding your static moments you're standing watching us rise & open your eyes & your ears are wide & open waited so long to watch you fall apart watch you come apart it's so strange now to watch you fall apart watch you come apart.
6.
I want Stardust to play at my funeral what brought you in will carry me out as people weep with open arms crying out to their own tired & fearful god one futile scream a cold sharp pain one count on screen one smile to fake I'll finally know your name so half awake so strong & brave the curtain's pulled the screen is blank you're only a block away you're gold and silver my October cure the last and the first we'll bury our friends & burn the bridges that lead us to them you're more than you know.

about

We are fighters, but we dare not say we are brave. We are hopeful, yet we do not rely on Luck to get us through the next crossroad. Our story is not unusual, it’s not graceful, it’s kind of not pretty. But it Is…and it is good. When we are born naked and bare, fresh and new we are an End and a Beginning all in one go. An essence that becomes a time machine, calling upon the Past to explain itself, and looking toward the Future to understand what is to come. It’s purpose, to create a Now. A new Now, the undiscovered Familiar. A Frontier.

This is what we all want to share. This Frontier is always looked for, by every one of us. No matter how alone, no matter how overwhelmed, no matter how loved or how profoundly forgotten; there is an ever striving reach for a Frontier. It is a reach as intangible as Thought or Love, both so easily and often wholly broken. And despite, and to spite, a Frontier remains. So we pick it up again with tears in our eyes, and we go. And we go. And we go.

about

Daniel G. Harmann Seattle, Washington

Daniel G. Harmann is a master craftsman of working class art. With the lyrical depth of Low or Sun Kil Moon, DGH's work is as powerful as late 90s post punk, & as emotionally honest as Jimmy Eat World, Idlewild, or even Fugazi. DGH's songs draw the listener in with their dark & smoky feel, while escorting you through life's landscape of pain & redemption in a way only a trusted friend can. ... more
